NSQG 2011 Quilt Show

My guild had the most awesome quilt show at the Quilt Museum
in Cedarburg, WI.  The museum has only been open a month
or so and the layout was perfect.  We were able to have a bake
sale, silent auction, raffle quilt, vendors, and the most amazing
quilts!
Time to set up the show!

The money raised from these wall hangings went to Earth Quake victims

Scrapbooking in Door County, Oct. 2011

We started the weekend with a trip to Koepsel's to get cherry jam and then
out to lunch at the White Gull Inn.

The rest of the gang arrived on Friday.  We had dinner at Coyote Roadhouse.  It
was Delicious!!!

Back at the cabin people scrapbooked, knitted, ate a ton and even took out
time to ride the ATV.

For our last dinner we ventured down to Carlsville and went to Bistro 42.  It is a
winery/restaurant.  The atmosphere was great, wine tasty and food fabulous.
This is the project I worked on.  It is a fishing lure table topper.  I still need
to add the hooks and add button hole stitches around the edges.  I didn't get
a whole lot done but really enjoyed the time spent with good friends.

Apple Picking with Christie

Christie came home for the weekend and the one thing she really
wanted to do was go apple picking and get a pumpkin.  Life
doesn't get any better than this!

It's so nice having kids that still enjoy doing things with their mom :-)

Breast Cancer Luncheon - Oct. 6th, 2011

Barbara, Laura, Anita and I went to the Breast Cancer Luncheon and Fashion
Show at the Italian Community Center.  It was a beautiful luncheon but sad
at the same time.  They asked the people who had cancer to stand.....2 out of
the 4 of us stood.  They they asked everyone who had an immediate family
member who had cancer to stand.  95% of us stood.  It was very profound.
The fashion show was fun and the food fabulous.  I just had to take pictures.
I think some people thought I was a kook.  Oh well.....Like I care :-)

For a group of people concerned about eating healthy, I have to say they
were heavy on sweets.  My kind of people!
